How we're helping older people get online

Ours is an increasingly digital world. We shop online, bank online and even socialise online. But with more and more public services going digital, there's real pressure to keep up - or get left behind.
That's why we're working as part of One Digital to help people learn the essential digital skills they need.
In 2015, Age UK came together with Citizens Online, Clarion Futures, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations and Digital Unite to form One Digital. With support and funding from the Big Lottery Fund, we're committed to tackling digital exclusion – when people get shut out from the digital world either by a lack of knowledge or resources.
One Digital helps people get online by recruiting and training Digital Champions, people who can pass on their knowledge in a fun and informal way. And we're having a real impact.
