- The Yorkshire locals are asking runners to join them at the starting line of the run which sees 12,000 runners take to the streets of Leeds
- Sign-ups are still open for the 10km and Junior categories of the event.
A race for everyone
The Leeds Abbey Dash is popular with fun-runners and elite athletes alike. It has been hailed as one of the best races in the country by Men's Running magazine.
Participants that sign up to the event, one of the fastest 10ks in the country, will be raising funds to help Age UK make a crucial difference to the lives of older people.
Age UK supports the almost 3 million people in the UK aged 65 and over who are facing later life alone. Funds raised by runners will help us provide support, advice and companionship to those who need it most, and support our programmes for lonely older people in the Leeds area.
