Age UK scam email warning
Published on 02 January 2013 12:00 PM
Age UK is warning people about fraudulent emails being sent that claim to be from the Age UK Information and Advice Team.
We want to confirm that these emails are scam messages - commonly known as phishing - and do not originate from Age UK.
The emails look quite genuine and ask recipients to click on a number of links that take them to fake websites.
Official Age UK emails
Any message that Age UK sends will come from an email address that contains "@mailer.ageuk.org.uk".
If you receive what looks like a suspicious message, please forward it onto our Customer Services team on contact@ageuk.org.uk immediately and we will investigate further.
