Why do we value old objects over old people? Age UK is here to change how we age. Make change happen
Here's how, with your support, Age UK is supporting older people through the cost of living crisis.
Our team members work in a variety of locations - some mostly from home, some hybrid at home and one of our offices, and some in shops across the UK.
The way we work has changed enormously in the last few years. Many jobs at Age UK are offered on hybrid contracts - meaning you'll work from home and from an office when required.
Hybrid work is really focussed on what we do, not where we do it. This style of working embraces flexibility and is founded on mutual trust, open communication, equality, and consistency. Contractually, we define your ‘place of work’ as both home and your linked office, with your time split between two locations.
There are many different jobs at Age UK and so there can be no hard and fast rule about what the balance between working from home and working from your linked office will look like for every individual.
Our London office is based at 1 America Square in Aldgate.
Our Warrington office also houses our warehouse.
Our Devon office in Ashburton is home to the Age UK Advice Line, our Telephone Friendship Service and some of our People team.
Our Blackpool office is home to The Silver Line Helpline, as well as some Age UK Advice Line and Telephone Friendship Service colleagues.
Age UK has more than 250 charity shops across the UK. Our team members working in charity shops are based on-site at their shop, and play a pivotol role in their community - providing a friendly welcome, great service and in many cases a place where lonely older people can come to chat.
