Your supporting statement/cover letter should explain how your skills and abilities match the essential criteria that we have defined within the job description.
All CVs will be anonymised by our recruitment system when you apply for a role at Age UK. Please note that our system is unable to anonymise supporting statements/cover letters, and we would therefore ask that to support the work we are doing on making our recruitment selection process fairer and more unbiased, that you remove any personal information from your cover letter/supporting statement, including your name before uploading this.
All equalities monitoring information is also anonymised and not shared with the hiring panel. Your name and address will only be known to us once you are invited for an interview.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept speculative CVs and applications. You can however set up future job alerts and we will contact you when a role comes up that you would like to know about. Please visit our 'Login' page where you can create a candidate account with us and set this up. Please ensure that you enable Allow Cookies on your device, so that you can open the job links.
We review all applications after the closing date of each role and will contact every candidate between 7 – 10 working days following this date to let them know the outcome of their application.
As we have so many diverse roles here at Age UK, each interview will be different and therefore the structure of your interview will be specified in your confirmation email from us.
Due to the large number of applications we receive for our roles, we are unable to provide feedback at shortlisting stage. If you have attended an interview with us, the Recruitment team will then ensure you're given feedback when we deliver the outcome of your interview.
If you experience any technical issues when on our Careers site, please contact the Recruitment team on recruitment@ageuk.org.uk
Here at Age UK we are committed to promoting fairness and equality of opportunity through our recruitment process, and we strive to make our workplace as accessible as possible. Age UK is part of the Disability Confident scheme in UK. We will offer an interview to all disabled candidates (as defined by the 2010 Equality Act) who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
Please note that on occasion, due to high numbers of applications, Age UK reserves the right to limit the overall number of interviews offered, and therefore, it may not always be practicable or appropriate to interview all disabled people that meet the minimum criteria for the job.
Candidates applying as part of the Disability Confident Scheme are reminded to clearly state this on their application.
