Age NI is excited to expand its range of independent living products with the launch of its new Keysafes.
A keysafe is a simple but smart and secure way to leave your key safely outside your house.
Let’s face it, leaving a key under the mat or beneath a plant pot is not very innovative - or safe! And getting locked out, particularly in winter, is not very convenient. More seriously, access to a loved one’s locked home in the event of an emergency can be extremely stressful when every minute counts.
Keysafe works by using a combination code to access a locked box affixed to an outside wall where a key is securely stored.
A spare key can be left safely for family, a carer or for access to your home in the event of an emergency or an accident such as a fall.
Age NI has carefully selected the highest security mechanical key safes and the only devices in the UK to have attained “Police Preferred” specification from the official UK Police security initiative known as “Secured by Design”. This means they are as secure as a domestic front door.
Combination cones can be regularly changed, or, if a home owner is living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, we also offer a model which prevents the code from being changed inadvertently for extra peace of mind for family and carers.
Prices start from under £60 and our keysafes can either be installed easily by a competent DIY-er or installation can be booked for £58. Proceeds from the sale of every Age NI Keysafe help Age NI to deliver vital services to support older people across Northern Ireland.
