Lone Pensioner Allowance (LPA)
If you are aged 70 or over, and live alone, you may be entitled to a 20% reduction on your rates bill.
This benefit is not means tested so it’s worth applying if you live on your own.
There are some exceptions which allow you to claim Lone Pensioner Allowance if don't live alone, for example, if you have a carer living with you. For more information, call our Advice and Advocacy Service on freephone 0808 808 7575.
