We are calling on all our political representatives to Act 4 Age and deliver a better future for us all as we age.

  • Winter Fuel Payments

Age NI is extremely concerned about the impact means testing the Winter Fuel Payment will have on older people across Northern Ireland.
  • Fuel Poverty In Northern Ireland

Age NI shares the concerns of National Energy Action NI (NEANI) and the Fuel Poverty Coalition about fuel poverty in Northern Ireland. Everyone should be able to live in a warm, safe and energy efficient home. We fear that this will be denied to thousands of homes and many older people.
  • Action Group on Loneliness Policy

The action group was set up in 2019 and has already worked with MLAs in the Northern Ireland Assembly to set up an All Party Group on Loneliness. We are calling on the Assembly to develop and implement a strategy on loneliness for Northern Ireland.
  • The Coalition of Carers Organisations

Established in 2016, the Coalition of Carers Organisations (CoCo) is an alliance of community and voluntary organisations collaborating to advance the rights of unpaid carers in Northern Ireland.
  • Age Friendly Campaign

We are calling upon candidates in the 2019 local election to pledge that if elected, they will be “Age Friendly Champions” in their councils. Find out how you can get involved and make Northern Ireland a better place to grow older.
  • General Election 2019 - Act 4 Age

We are calling on all our political representatives to Act 4 Age and deliver a better future for us all as we age.
  • Age Friendly campaign - Candidates

We are calling upon election candidates to pledge a commitment that, if elected, they will play an active role in working to promote Age Friendly in their council and in the communities it serves.
  • Commissioner for Older People

The Commissioner for Older People was approved by the Northern Ireland Assembly on 07 December 2010. Our campaign 'We agree' was supported by older people throughout Northern Ireland.
