Age NI shares the concerns of National Energy Action NI (NEANI) and the Fuel Poverty Coalition about fuel poverty in Northern Ireland. Everyone should be able to live in a warm, safe and energy efficient home. We fear that this will be denied to thousands of homes and many older people.
The action group was set up in 2019 and has already worked with MLAs in the Northern Ireland Assembly to set up an All Party Group on Loneliness. We are calling on the Assembly to develop and implement a strategy on loneliness for Northern Ireland.
