Supermarket delivery problems - Age Cymru's response

Age Cymru's chief executive Victoria Lloyd says: " It's vital that older people in Wales are able to sign up to the priority food delivery services being organised by major supermarkets.
"Many older people have told us that they have to wait for up to three weeks for a delivery while others were simply thrown out of the registration process. Systems must be put in place to enable the supermarkets to verify who exactly needs to be given priority in Wales.
“ We have contacted the Welsh government about the issue and we'll be urging the appropriate authorities in Wales to work with the retail sector to make sure vulnerable people are not worried about how they will feed themselves over the coming weeks.”
