Age Cymru together with their HOPE project partners Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale will host a Spring Wellness and Wellbeing event on Friday 1 March 2024 between 10am and 2pm at the Riverside Warehouse in Riverside, Cardiff.
HOPE (Helping others participate and engage) is a partnership project delivering independent advocacy for older people (50+) and their carers across Wales.
The event will provide information and support to help those aged 50 or over, and their carers, to keep well this spring.
There’ll be information on a range of issues including advocacy, claiming benefits, housing, community safety, volunteering, and how to reduce your energy bills.
There’ll be more than a dozen organisations attending including Cardiff Council’s Well Being Team, Care and Repair Cardiff & the Vale, Into Work Advice, Riverside Food Pantry, and the Unpaid Carers Project.
The South Riverside Community Development Project will also provide volunteer interpreters on the day to support those whose first language is either Arabic, French, Italian, Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi or Honufia.
There’ll be free refreshments throughout the event as well as music by artists from the ‘River Music Project’ who will be playing a diverse range of music to represent the different cultures and nations that live in the area.
