Blackwood Rugby Club, June 24 – 1:30pm to 2:30pm
From pensioner poverty to digital exclusion and from keeping homes warm to bank closures, older people are facing some tough challenges right now and we want to hear how local election candidates would tackle these issues at a local husting for the new constituency of Newport West and Islwyn.
Hosted by Age Cymru Gwent at the Blackwood Rugby Club, the organisers are also inviting local voters to submit their questions on the challenges facing local older people so it can get some insight into each of the parties’ proposals and provide some in-depth scrutiny.
If you would like to submit a question and attend the hustings, which are free of charge, and hear what local candidates are saying about older people’s issues call Rhian Morgan on 07944 996943, email rhian.morgan@agecymru.org.uk or visit www.agecymru.org.uk/election.
Please submit any questions for candidates and to reserve a place at the husting by Thursday 20 June 2024.
