Of all UK nations, Wales has the largest proportion of older people aged 65 and over - 668,950 (21% of the population).
Wales also has the fastest ageing population – projections show an increase of 292,000 by 2039. In the aftermath of covid, against the backdrop of rising energy prices, and the cost-of-living crisis, many older people are facing some of the hardest challenges imaginable – economic poverty; fuel poverty; food poverty; health and wellbeing issues; and frauds / scams. Working together, we can change this.
